Focus on Making Health IT Accessible to Patients
Acquiring greater rights to one’s own data as a result of the European Data Protection Directive, being able to make use of a wide range of health apps, the global trend towards The Quantified Self, and Dr. Google as the source of information. Digitalisation offers patients new ways to access health data and information and makes them more independent. These developments are also reflected by the IT solutions that Health IT providers will present at conhIT – Connecting Healthcare IT 2018.
Innovative solutions with a focus on the patient and the introduction and implementation of the electronic patient file: where ’Patients in the Health IT Environment’ are concerned, there will be lots to discover and discuss on the display areas and at the Congress and Networking Events at this year’s conhIT.
Networking Events: Different Formats Let Everyone Exchange Their Views
In recent years the programme of networking events, one of the mainstays of conhIT, has expanded significantly and also regularly features new event formats, including in 2018.
In addition to hosting practically-oriented presentations, discussions and workshops, excursions, tours of the trade fair and career services, all of which provide the many industry participants with a wide range of opportunities to exchange views, network and promote the industry’s aims, conhIT also focuses on supporting women, newcomers and young managers in the Health IT sector.
Thus, under the slogan of `SheHealth' a working breakfast, will take place with women in senior positions, with the aim of developing common strategies and strengthening the role of women in the digital health industry. Talented newcomers from bvitg and BMC will also be organising a joint workshop in order to get to know the various healthcare sectors better, and to network and discuss matters with one another.
