conhIT 2018 | Newsletter no. 2
we begin the new year with some important announcements. Since the 15 January 2018, via a Call for Papers, all exhibitors at conhIT are invited to apply for the Guided Tours, the eHealth-Slam and the Innovation Session. Registrations are currently also being taken for the Career Speed Networking event on 18 April 2018.
To date over 300 exhibitors (we expect more than 500 exhibitors) have already registered for the Trade Fair. As in previous years a ticket to conhIT also grants admission to the conhIT Congress. Don’t delay and make sure of your ticket to the Trade Fair, Congress or Academy workshops, which can be easily purchased from the online ticket shop.
Information on our wide range of Congress, Academy and Networking events will be available from our programme flyer and website in early February. We would already like to draw your attention to two evening events well worth attending. On the first evening of conhIT (17 April 2018) a conhIT-after work will be taking place at the south entrance to the grounds at 6 p.m., and on the Wednesday of conhIT we will be celebrating our conhIT party at a city centre club in the Berlin district of Mitte, starting at 10 p.m. We are looking forward to see you there.

Ways to More Information: Guided Tours in 2018
In 2018 conhIT – Connecting Healthcare IT will again be offering the chance to be a participant in several Guided Tours. Via a Call for Papers, exhibitors at conhIT are invited to act as a ’host’ on these guided tours by submitting an application no later than 9 February 2018.
The guided tours will visit a number of Trade Fair stands, giving visitors an opportunity to find out more directly about innovations and new products relating to specific topics.
A total of eleven Guided Tours will be taking place, looking at up-to-the-minute topics such as the electronic patient record and IT security as well as innovations in intelligent assistance systems and mobile health.
Call for Papers – the eHealth-Slam: Entertaining Ways to Present Health IT
An entire product description as a baking recipe, a videolinked consultation as a theatre performance, or amusing, fact-filled stories about online consultations: conhIT 2018 will be holding the third edition of the popular eHealth-Slam format. Candidates interested in presenting practically oriented eHealth projects to a wide audience in an entertaining manner – with knowledge, wit and creativeness added for good measure – are invited to submit their application no later than 9 February 2018.
A panel consisting of students, scientists and members of industry will look at all the projects and select those which promise an entertaining lecture on the eHealth sector.
Selected participants will be able to give an eight-minute presentation on their topic or project in the eHealth-Slam Networking Area. The expert audience will then pick the three winners. Prize money totalling 850 Euros awaits the winners.
Innovation Session: Presenting Outstanding New Products
The Innovation Session at conhIT gives companies an opportunity to deliver a ten-minute paper on innovative products, creative ideas and trends and topics in this sector, followed by a discussion.
Exhibitors are invited to apply for the session no later than 9 February 2018. This moderated event will also take place in the Networking Area.
Last year the Innovation Session was attended by well-known industry players including Telekom Healthcare Solutions and medatixx GmbH & Co. KG as well as new and up-and-coming enterprises such as vitabook GmbH.
Career Speed Networking Event: Inspiring Newcomers to Join the Industry
As an innovative growth sector the Healthcare IT industry is dependent more than ever on qualified workers. In 2018 conhIT again aims to help bring the Health IT industry and healthcare institutions into contact with potential employees.
In addition to the Job Market which advertises exhibitors' vacancies, the conhIT Career Guide and a Career Workshop, on 18 April 2018 Europe’s leading Healthcare IT event will also be hosting a Career Networking event.
Exhibitors are welcome to register via the exhibitor-area of the Virtual Market Place® until 13 April 2018.
