conhIT – Europe‘s leading event for Health-IT celebrates anniversary and takes place from the 25th to the 27st of April 2017 for the tenth time on the Berlin Exhibition Grounds. Along the entire value chain it shows how modern IT can improve healthcare quality and support institutions in competition.

Manufacturers, users and representatives from the political and scientific communities find out about the latest industry developments, share information and learn from each others‘ experiences at conhIT. The full range of Health IT is presented at conhIT. All trade visitors will intensify their business contacts and expand their knowledge. conhIT is the leading Health IT event in Europe.

Industrial Fair

At conhIT the entire range of Healthcare IT products and services will be on show upon an area occupying over 18,000 square metres. No other event has such a wide-ranging and concentrated display of products and services as conhIT in Berlin. All the leading market players will be represented at the Industrial Fair.


Every morning experts will be reporting on health IT innovations and trends . The reports will be spread over a total of 18 sessions. The lectures are designed interactively to provide space for a lively exchange between speakers and listeners. Visitors can look forward to a high-class, diversified congress programme, planned by representatives of major target groups with the information and training needs of the healthcare IT industry strongly in mind.


conhIT also provides the platform where all those involved in this sector can engage in discussions and networking on current topics. Numerous events are being provided, in collaboration with national and international IT and healthcare institutions, where relevant topics can be discussed and efforts can be made jointly to promote issues of particular concern to the industry. Contacts among the participants are facilitated through the use of traditional networking formats.


The four seminars at the conhIT academy will consider selected health IT issues in detail. The lecturers will generously allocate their time for learning, discussing and exercising. Each seminar is limited to 40 participants, so early registration is strongly recommended. Academy seminars will only be held in German.

Launched in 2008 by the German Association of Health IT Vendors (bvitg) as the meeting place for the healthcare IT industry and organised by Messe Berlin, this event recently recorded 359 exhibitors and 6.495 visitors in 2014 and has now become Europe’s leading event for the healthcare IT sector.

conhIT is organised in cooperation with the following industry associations: the German Association of Health IT Vendors (bvitg), the German Association for Medical Informatics, Biometry and Epidemiology (GMDS), the German Association of Medical Computer Scientists (BVMI). The German Association of Hospital IT Managers (KH-IT) and the Working Group of Directors of Medical Computing Centres at German University Clinics (ALKRZ) have provided contributions to the subject matter.


The German Association of Health IT Vendors (bvitg) represents the leading healthcare IT providers in Germany. Depending on the market segment, products from these providers are used in up to 90% of the outpatient and inpatient sector including rehabilitation centres, nursing homes and social services.

More than 70% of the companies operate internationally. The federal association was formed in the spring of 2011 by the merger of VDAP e.V. and VHitG e. V., which was founded in 1996. bvitg e. V. is the initiator and organiser of conhIT.

The German Medical Informatics Professional Association (BVMI) is based in Heidelberg and was founded in 1983. It is a registered association with more than 600 full, associated, student and supporting members.

Members are individuals with the relevant training or who work on a permanent basis in the field of medical computer science.

A number of representative offices have been created in other German federal states over the years. These carry out the association’s tasks in the various regions with activities including local information sessions and professional development events.


The German Association for Medical Informatics, Biometry and Epidemiology (GMDS) was founded in 1955. It is the only collective medical science society for medical informatics, medical biometrics, epidemiology and medical documentation and currently has more than 1,900 members.


The German Association of Hospital IT Managers

(KH-IT), based in Landau (postal code 76829), was formed in 2003 from the Arbeitsgemeinschaft Deutscher Krankenhaus-EDV-Leiter/innen (German Hospital Data Processing Directors’ Association), founded in December 1996. The association takes influence on conditions of practical hospital IT and strengthens the IT managers in their contribution to the successful development of the company


The Chief Information Officers - Universitätsklinika (CIO-UK) promotes cooperation and best practice sharing between the computer centres at German university hospitals. It develops recommendations on information processing at university hospitals and represents the interests of the institutions concerned.
